Dune 45: Over here you will find the largest sand dunes in the world, at the Soussusvlei desert. This is a few hours’ campervan drive and is about 350 km from Windhoek.
Etosha national park: One of the most popular parks in the country, this place cannot be missed by the nature lovers. It is quite easy to get around by yourself and is one of the best game viewing places in Africa. This is roughly about 500 km from Windhoek.
Fish River Canyon: It is found in the south of the country and is known to be the second biggest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon. You can check out the hot springs in the area and go for a hike for those interested, along with taking in the beautiful views. This is roughly about 650 km from Windhoek so make sure you have a few days on hand with your motorhome hire.
